Each May, Rosedale Baptist Church participates in the Austin Baptist Community Center’s ministry through their spring food drive. The Austin Baptist Community Center serves hundreds of area families. They meet physical needs through food and clothing ministries and help with medication, paperwork, and a variety of other services they meet educational and childcare needs through after-school ministries and they meet spiritual needs through Bible study, witness, and daily demonstration of Christ’s mercy and love. Each year, the Lord uses the BCC to bring dozens of folks to a saving relationship with Him and He uses us to help supply their ministries with the support that they need. The Community Center’s largest ministry is their food pantry and the need for their pantry ministry has never been greater. Throughout the month of May, Rosedale Baptist Church will have bins in the educational building for the collection of in-date, non-perishable food items to restock the Baptist Community Center’s pantry. In addition, 100% of donations dedicated to the food drive will be used to purchase food to donate. As we give thanks to the Lord for His blessings this season, pray about how you and your family can share some of those blessings to help support the Baptist Community Center in their ministry to the needy in Austin.

Each year at Christmas, we celebrate Jesus’ birth and the light that He shines into a world darkened by sin. And, each year at Christmas, Baptists come together to support our missionaries around the world who share Jesus’ message of hope, peace, joy, and salvation with people suffering in that darkness. Rosedale’s goal for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions is $500.00 this year. Join us on Sunday night, November 26, during our 6:00 worship service, as we look at some of the ways that the Lord is using our Baptist missionaries to lead folks out of the darkness and into God’s kingdom. And pray about how you and your family can help support Baptist mission work around the world.

Lottie Moon Post Office

If you send out Christmas cards, you know that postage rates have been soaring for the past few years. Well, Rosedale Baptist Church has a solution for you: our Lottie Moon Post Office! Just place your cards, gifts, or surprises for our local church family in their mailboxes (conveniently located in the fellowship hall) and donate some or all of the money you saved on postage (73 cents (!) each) to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. You’ll brighten the day of your brothers and sisters in Christ and you’ll also help our Baptist missionaries shine Jesus’ light in a darkened world. The Lottie Moon Post Office will open on Sunday, December 1, and remain open throughout the Christmas season.

Our annual service of scripture, carols, and light will be held on Sunday night, December 22, at 6:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord!
