We’ll be celebrating the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper during our morning worship services on Sunday, November 23 and Sunday, December 21. Come with your hearts prepared.

The church office will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, for Veterans Day on Thursday and Friday, November 27 & 28, for Thanksgiving on Thursday, December 25, for Christmas and on Thursday, January 1, for New Year’s Day. Wednesday night activities will be cancelled on November 26, December 24, and December 31.

Once again this year, we plan to use poinsettias to decorate our church for the Christmas season. If you want to provide a poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one, you can bring it by the church starting on Sunday, November 30 or you can purchase one, starting that day. (Note: we typically are able to buy $2.00 poinsettias from Home Depot’s black Friday sale and provide them at cost for decorating, and that is the plan this year as well.)

Each year at Christmas, we celebrate Jesus’ birth and the light that He shines into a world darkened by sin. And, each year at Christmas, Baptists come together to support our missionaries around the world who share Jesus’ message of hope, peace, joy, and salvation with people suffering in that darkness. Rosedale’s goal for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions is $500.00 this year. Join us on Sunday night, November 30, during our 6:00 worship service, as we look at some of the ways that the Lord is using our Baptist missionaries to lead folks out of the darkness and into God’s kingdom. And pray about how you and your family can help support Baptist mission work around the world.
Lottie Moon Post Office

If you send out Christmas cards, you know that postage rates have been soaring for the past few years. Well, Rosedale Baptist Church has a solution for you: our Lottie Moon Post Office! Just place your cards, gifts, or surprises for our local church family in their mailboxes (conveniently located in the fellowship hall) and donate some or all of the money you saved on postage (78 cents (!!) each) to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. You’ll brighten the day of your brothers and sisters in Christ and you’ll also help our Baptist missionaries shine Jesus’ light in a darkened world. The Lottie Moon Post Office will open on Sunday, November 30, and remain open throughout the Christmas season.

Our annual service of scripture, carols, and light will be held on Monday, December 22, at 6:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Join us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord!
