Cookies for Firefighters

 

Each Wednesday night during our prayer time, we lift up those who put their lives on the line daily to protect us and keep us safe:  our firefighters, EMS workers, and police.

          And, each February, Rosedale Baptist Church works together to brighten the days of the firefighters and EMS workers at the Hancock and Balcones stations, two of the units nearest to us.  We take them gift baskets of homemade goodies, all the while letting these men and women know that their hard work is appreciated and that they are regularly lifted up before the Lord by our church family.

          If you are interested in helping out with this ministry, bring your individually packaged cookies, bars, trail mix, or other items to the church on Sunday, February 12.  (We’ll be delivering them during the day on Valentine’s Day.)  And continue to keep these folks in your prayers.

Be Prepared!

 

The annual Austin Marathon will take place on Sunday morning, February 19.  Be prepared for detours and delays in both coming to church and heading home after the service—allow yourself plenty of time and an extra helping of the Lord’s peace, patience, and wisdom.

The Pursuit

 

          “To every thing there is a season”—and this is the season for our Winter Bible Study.  Our study of The Pursuit:  Chasing Answers to Life’s Questions, is underway during our Wednesday night Prayer Meetings.  Join us each week as we study the book of Ecclesiastes, following a wise man’s examination of what is really worth pursuing in life—and which of our pursuits are only “chasing after the wind.”

          Wednesday nights open with our light supper at 6:30 pm, followed by Prayer Meeting at 7:00.  Join us as we worship the Lord, study His word, and lift up our extended church family in prayer.  See you on Wednesday!
