Service Schedule Update

Our evening worship services are back! After two years of pandemic shutdowns, power outages, a flood, and assorted other challenges, we have finally returned to our normal Sunday schedule. Sunday School starts at 9:45 am in the fellowship hall, followed by our morning worship service at 11:00 and our evening service is in the fellowship hall at 6:00 pm. It’s good to be back to normal!

Coronavirus Update

As Covid-19 infections have thankfully plunged in the Austin area in recent weeks, we have relaxed most of the precautions that we had adopted in order to continue meeting in the midst of a pandemic. Seating restrictions are gone our welcome time in worship has returned, and our fellowship/food times are (more or less) returning to normal. For now, however, it was agreed in our March business meeting that we will continue to require masks be worn inside the building, except when eating or if an individual has a respiratory issue that makes breathing with a mask difficult. As with everything else in the last two years, we’ll prayerfully revisit these policies and update them as events warrant.

Wednesday Bible Study

Join us on Wednesday nights during our Prayer Meeting service as we go through John’s Epistles: Living with Assurance. In 1, 2, & 3 John, the apostle John is writing to strengthen a church that has been badly damaged by false teachers who didn’t understand that Jesus had truly come in the flesh but was also the Christ—that He is truly the Word made flesh, God Incarnate. These teachers led many astray, and fractured John’s church. In His letters, John not only shows us how important it is to understand Who Jesus is he also shows us the importance of living and walking in His love—and he shows the strength and assurance that come through abiding in Him. Prayer Meeting starts at about 7:00 each Wednesday in the fellowship hall, following our 6:30 supper. Hope to see you here for this important time of fellowship, prayer, and study!

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering

Each Spring, Southern Baptists focus on the mission field that surrounds us—the folks in the United States and Canada who don’t know Jesus Christ as their Savior. This year’s theme for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions is United. Rosedale Baptist Church’s goal for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering this year is $500 and, at press time, we’re already more than half-way there. Thanks! Please continue to pray for our home missionaries and ask the Lord how you and your family can support them in their commitment to sharing the gospel.

lord's supper

We’ll be celebrating the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper during both services on Sunday, April 10. Come with your hearts prepared.

Prayer Breakfast

Join us on Saturday, May 21, for a Prayer Breakfast at the church. We’ll meet in the fellowship hall at 9:00 am for a morning of food, fellowship, singing, and, most importantly, prayer for our church, our community, our nation, and the world. Hope to see you here!

Spring Food Drive

Each May, Rosedale Baptist Church participates in the Austin Baptist Community Center’s ministry through their spring food drive. The Austin Baptist Community Center serves hundreds of area families each year. They meet physical needs through food and clothing ministries and help with medication, paperwork, and a variety of other services they meet educational and childcare needs through after-school ministries and they meet spiritual needs through Bible study, witness, and daily demonstration of Christ’s mercy and love. Each year, the Lord uses the ABCC to bring dozens of folks to a saving relationship with Him and He uses us to help supply their ministries with the support that they need. The Community Center’s largest ministry is their food pantry and this is the time of year where food supplies run the thinnest. Throughout the month of May, Rosedale Baptist Church will have bins in the educational building for the collection of in-date, non-perishable food items to restock the Baptist Community Center’s pantry. Pray about how you and your family can support the Community Center in their ministry to the needy in Austin—and remember that their ministry is our ministry…and, most importantly, it’s the Lord’s ministry.
