Our sister church, Hope of Life Baptist Church, composed of refugees and immigrants from Congo, has been meeting on the Rosedale campus for several years. They’ve been a real blessing to us, and now they’re sharing God’s blessings with believers in Kenya as well. With the help of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, they have planted a church in Nairobi, Kenya, for fellow Congolese refugees and have almost completed a building for them to meet in. In addition, they are in the process of starting a ministry among the Maasai in Kenya. Hope of Life Pastor Dieudonne Ratabagaya will be leading a mission trip to Nairobi in late September to facilitate work on the church, to help ordain ministers and deacons, and to take care of other organizational matters. Please pray for the Lord’s continued guidance for everyone involved in this project, as well as for travel safety for the folks heading to Kenya in September, and for the funding that they need to finish and maintain the work that they’re doing. (If you want to contribute to this work, call the church office, and we’ll get you connected.)
